TRUE SALVATION

HOW CAN I GIVE MY HEART

TO JESUS AND BE SAVED?

Believe Jesus is alive, that He will forgive you of your sins, and will come to live in your heart, regenerate you, give you a new life and a home eternally with Him.

You must believe and receive Jesus Christ by faith—and faith alone. The Bible tells us that the only way of salvation is by God’s grace, through faith. Grace means God's unmerited favor, granted toward you for salvation while you are yet a sinner and undeserving. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Repent, and by faith believe, and wholeheartedly surrender your life to Jesus Christ making Him your personal Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit will then

come to live in your heart. It is important to understand that you do not receive and then believe; you believe and then receive. What this means is that you must receive Him by faith before you will experience Him.

Again, we emphasize that when you do this, you give your whole heart and life to Jesus, taking Him as your own personal Lord and Savior. After this, as a Christian, you will learn to walk in His Lordship. This is the process of maturing which follows salvation. We learn to walk with Jesus as Lord by faith just as, at our salvation, we took Him as Lord.

God loves you, has a new life for you and a very special plan just for your life. His arms are open to you now.

A PRAYER FOR SALVATION

“Lord, I believe You are alive and I believe You are the Savior.

I want You to be my Savior. I believe that You  love me and have

a wonderful plan for my life. Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I

repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me of my sins. I receive Your  forgiveness. Jesus, I receive You into my heart by faith. I take You as my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Jesus, I give you my whole heart and life

now. It is no longer mine; it is Yours to do with as you please. Wholly,

by faith, I receive salvation and I thank you, Lord Jesus.”

If you have truly prayed this prayer and by faith genuinely been born again, you now know what it means to have become a new “creature” in Jesus Christ. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17) You now know what it is to have experienced forgiveness of your sins and now have Jesus living in your heart. If you have truly done this and been born again, God will witness this to you by His Spirit to your spirit. “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" (Romans 8:16) Salvation is not simply a head thing, it’s a heart belief and a resolve of the will. Repentance, trust and surrender are a vital part of this. From the heart, by a relinquished will, you have wholeheartedly, by faith and faith alone, surrendered your heart and life to Jesus.

This alone is the Gospel. There is no other way to heaven. Receiving salvation in Christ, being “born again,” does not come merely from a mental belief in Christ, a psychological ascent or a soulish emotional experience; it comes from a total surrender of one’s whole heart and life to Jesus Christ. It is an exchanged life. "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
